Maison de la Gare is a non-profit, apolitical, and secular non-governmental organization, founded in 2007 by a group of ten Senegalese driven by the desire to improve the living conditions of talibé children in their country.

Maison de la Gare was recognized as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) by the Senegalese Minister of the Interior on July 3, 2019, with the number MINT / DGAT / DPONG / DAPI 01642.
