Maison de la Gare's team is dedicated to helping talibé children to integrate into Senegalese life both socially and professionally, by providing them with access to education, vocational training, and sports and artistic activities. They offer comprehensive and balanced support to talibé children.

Issa Kouyaté
Maison de la Gare was born from Issa's vision to improve the lives of talibé street children. After studying business management and social sciences at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Issa held various positions before creating Maison de la Gare with several friends in 2007. He is responsible for external relations and the association's development policy.

Ndèye Aby Bâ
Holding several advanced training certificates, Aby works with children in the emergency shelter, preparing their files and supporting them during their reintegration into their daaras or their communities of origin.

Sulayman Bah
After several years with Maison de la Gare as a talibé youth, Sulayman returned to Gambia to register in school. Now back in Saint-Louis, he is pursuing a life-long interest leading renewal of our agricultural apprenticeship program.

Kalidou Baldé
Formerly a talibé, Kalidou grew up with Maison de la Gare starting with literacy classes in the old train station in XNUMX. He now leads the sewing apprenticeship program, as well as being a teacher and facilitator of children's programs. His story is an inspiration to young talibés.

Abduramane Buaró
A former talibé, Buaró found his passion in karate. He discovered the program early on, regularly coming to the center for literacy classes and other activities. Now a 1st Dan black belt, he leads regular karate classes for young talibés in our center.

Noël Coly
A qualified computer technician, Noël is responsible for monitoring and recording entries and exits and the participation of children in the activities of the center. Maison de la GareIn this role, he facilitates the activities of the children of the center at all levels.

Awa Diallo
A graduate in health and hygiene, Awa has worked as a nursing assistant in nursing and emergency care in various organizations in Saint Louis. She is responsible for the care and hygiene of talibé children, at Maison de la Gare's center and in their daaras.

Ibrahima (Samba) Diao
Samba grew up with Maison de la Gare. He is the team leader of the poultry program, and is a source of inspiration for the talibé apprentices.

Adama Diarra
A graduate in Modern Literature from the Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Adama joined Maison de la Gare as a street educator working with children in the emergency shelter. A recent graduate of the Higher Institute of Economics and Management at Gaston Berger University, she is currently the accountant and volunteer coordinator.

Aïda Dieng
With six years of experience as a teacher and facilitator at Paul Gérin-Lajoie Foundation, Aïda previously earned degrees in computer science and marketing. With Maison de la Gare since 2011, she is responsible for literacy training and basic education of younger talibé children at the center.

Baye Ndaraw Diop
Formerly the director of the government agency responsible for vulnerable children in Saint Louis, Ndaraw manages our microfinance program, which provides interest-free loans as well as entrepreneurship training and support.

Mamadou Gueye
Founder of AMOHS (Saint-Louis Humanist Movement Association), Mamadou has led awareness campaigns for Maison de la Gare across Senegal, educating families about the consequences of entrusting their sons to daaras in distant cities. He has participated in night patrols for many years, and plays a key role in finding and caring for runaway boys, and reintegrating them into their families or other safe situations.

Alagie Jallow
Formerly a talibé, Alagie participated for several years in Maison de la Gare's programs. He was a karate enthusiast and, more recently, a dedicated apprentice in the sewing program. Alagie supports every aspect of the health care activities in the infirmary and leads regular healthcare visits Saint-Louis daaras. His story is an inspiration to young talibés.

Momar Mbaye
Momar holds a master's degree in business administration and has prior management experience, including in the non-profit sector. He is responsible for the organization's day-to-day operations.

Bouri Mbodj
A teacher at the Paul Gérin-Lajoie Foundation for four years, Bouri has extensive experience teaching illiterate children. She is responsible for the education of older talibé children in Maison de la Gare's center.

Aminata Ndiaye
Aminata graduated from primary school and holds certificates in sewing and Pulaar/Wolof translation. After working for several years in local commerce, she is now the housekeeper at Maison de la Gare's center.

Cheikh Abdoulaye Ndiaye
Trained in microfinance and poultry farming, Cheikh Ablaye developed the poultry farming apprenticeship program for Maison de la Gare. He now leads this program, working closely with the apprentices.

Oumou Samb
A native of St. Louis, Oumou holds a primary school diploma and a tailoring certificate. With experience as a cook for several St. Louis businesses, she prepares meals for children living in the emergency shelter as well as nutritious snacks for participants in the center's programs.

Ndèye Aïssa Sarr
Holder of a degree in modern literature from the Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Aïssa is a member of the emergency shelter team of Maison de la Gare. With Aby, she works with children in the emergency dormitory, preparing their files and supporting them during their reintegration into their daaras or their communities of origin.

Lalla Sène
A former member of the Senegalese national women's soccer team, Lalla organizes soccer tournaments for talibé children and helps them improve their skills. She is also the lead facilitator for the children at the center.

Abou Sy
After working as a street educator with Action Femmes Enfants, Abou works with the night patrol team of Maison de la Gare Since 2015, he has been finding runaway talibés sleeping on the streets and taking them into the emergency shelter. He supports the work of reintegrating these children into their families or other safe situations.

El Hadj Abdou Sy
El Hadj graduated in communications from Gaston Berger University in Saint Louis. As Communications Manager, he plays a key role in Maison de la Gare's efforts to end the practice of begging and child slavery in Senegal.
