Every weekday, Maison de la Gare offers literacy and math classes designed to provide talibé children with a basic education. These sessions, open to all, aim to give them basic reading, writing, and math skills, essential for daily life.

Every month, over a hundred children actively participate in these classes, often for the very first time in their lives. We pride ourselves on creating a caring, stimulating, and inclusive environment, where each child is encouraged to progress at their own pace, according to their abilities and specific needs.

Recognizing that education goes far beyond traditional academic learning, we also offer daily English classes. These sessions allow children to develop a new language skill while broadening their cultural horizons. Learning English opens them up to new perspectives, fosters their openness to the world, and builds their self-confidence.

These classes are led by qualified teachers or committed volunteers, who adapt their teaching methods to ensure the children's interest and active participation.

The educational program of Maison de la Gare is designed to break the cycle of exclusion and marginalization in which many talibé children are trapped. By providing them with free and regular access to quality education, we enable them to regain control of their lives. We deeply believe that education is a fundamental right, but also a powerful lever for empowerment, dignity, and social integration.

Beyond the subjects taught, this program reinforces essential values ​​in children such as discipline, curiosity, perseverance, and respect for themselves and others. Through each session, we sow the seeds of a better future, giving children the tools to dream, choose, and build their own path. Maison de la Gare thus remains faithful to its mission: to make education a bridge to the freedom, dignity and development of each child we welcome.
