The next steps

Once we receive your application to register as a volunteer with Maison de la Gare and any questions have been clarified, we will invite you to join us. We will then ask you to complete your registration with two final steps:

Sign and return to us the Volunteer Contract, available at this link.
Pay a deposit of 15% (if your arrival date is more than one month away) or the full amount (if it is less than one month away) of your rate.

Fee

Our fees are published at this link for volunteers staying with a host family.

If the length of your stay is not covered by this table, we will provide you with the applicable rates. The rate includes airport pickup, transportation to and from Saint-Louis, homestay accommodation with three meals per day, and a contribution to our program costs.

For volunteers who choose to stay in a auberge or a hotel, we will help you make these arrangements. And we will inform you of the fees that apply excluding accommodation costs.

Arriving in Senegal

We will be in regular contact with you regarding your arrangements. The first step is to make your flight reservations and provide us with a copy of your itinerary. We will then arrange for you to be met at the airport and transferred to your accommodation in Saint-Louis. We will provide you with all the details, including information about your host family.
