Joanah Nwokeabia (England)
Literacy Program

For two weeks, our volunteer Joanah Nwokeabia dedicated all her energy and creativity to Maison de la Gare, providing valuable support to talibé children through literacy and English learning programs.
Committed and attentive, Joanah wholeheartedly dedicated herself to supporting the children, teaching them not only the basics of reading and writing but also their first words and expressions in English, thus opening up new learning opportunities. Her caring and playful teaching methods fostered their curiosity and self-confidence.
During her stay, Joanah designed an English teaching manual specifically adapted for talibé children, combining pedagogical rigor and a playful approach to make learning accessible and stimulating.
Always smiling and available, Joanah quickly integrated into the life of the center. Her dynamism, kindness, and sincere commitment touched both the children and the entire educational team.
We warmly thank Joanah for her dedication, generosity, and willingness to share her knowledge. Her time at Maison de la Gare will remain marked by moments of solidarity, sharing and beautiful human encounters.
