Amélie Macq (France)

Hygiene and Health Care

A heartfelt thank‑you to our volunteer, Amélie Macq!

For two months, we had the pleasure of welcoming Amélie Macq as a volunteer at Maison de la Gare. Driven by a deep sense of commitment and remarkable generosity, she fully invested herself alongside our team in service of the talibé children.

Assigned to the infirmary program, Amélie played an active role in providing care to the children, both at the center and during visits to the daaras where they live. Through her attentive listening, kindness, and care, she helped improve the support and well‑being of many children.

But her involvement extended far beyond medical care. With energy and creativity, Amélie also contributed to other initiatives within the organization. She helped develop the new agricultural project, took part in organizing artistic activities with the children, and supported various aspects of the center’s daily operations.

Deeply committed to our mission, Amélie also launched a solidarity fundraiser to support Maison de la Gare’s activities. Thanks to this wonderful initiative, several essential needs were met, including the purchase of medicines for the infirmary, clothing for the talibé children, and support for the development of the agricultural project.

Her time at Maison de la Gare will be remembered for her generosity, her dynamism, and her sincere desire to contribute to the well‑being of the children.

Thank you, Amélie, for your dedication, your smile, and all the energy you brought to our mission. We wish you every success in the future and hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Maison de la Gare one day.
