Charlie Quesnel (France)
Literacy Program

For two weeks, our volunteer Charlie Quesnel provided valuable assistance to Maison de la Gare, putting his patience, his listening skills and his good humor at the service of the talibé children.
Charlie was actively involved in the literacy program, supporting children in learning to read, write and calculate.
Thanks to his attentive teaching and clear explanations, he was able to adapt to the students' varying levels. He encouraged them to persevere and have confidence in their abilities. His mornings spent in the classroom were punctuated by the children's progress, their smiles, and their bursts of laughter.
At the same time, Charlie took part in the center's recreational activities, providing the children with moments of relaxation and connection through games, discussions, and warm exchanges. These shared moments helped strengthen bonds and create a caring environment where the children could fully flourish.
Always ready to help, Charlie supported the medical team in their daily tasks, demonstrating a true spirit of collaboration. His availability and commitment left a lasting impression on both the children and the staff.
We warmly thank Charlie for his commitment, his dedication and his kindness that he was able to convey throughout his stay. Although short, his stay left a positive imprint on the hearts of the children and in the memory of the team. We wish him every success in his future projects.
